Sign 1: a water bill that doesn't add up

Sign 2: the sound of water with everything off
Stand in a quiet house at night and listen. Hissing or faint running water when every fixture, ice maker, and sprinkler is off means water is moving somewhere it shouldn't. Your ears catch hidden supply leaks before your eyes do.
Sign 3: a warm spot on the floor
A hot-water line leaking under the slab heats the concrete above it. Bare feet find these spots — a warm patch on a hallway or bathroom floor that has no business being warm is a classic hot-side hidden supply leak signature.
